Limited edition glasses receive the Japanese “2009 Eyewear of the Year” award. The awards ceremony is to be held at theIOFT in Tokyo on October 1.

Vanni Stratos is a frame that is stratified like sedimentary stone: a layering of materials that differ in their composition and colour, resulting in surprising, one-off combinations that could never be repeated.

The Stratos line evokes this natural geological phenomenon in its line of eyewear produced in acetate layers of varying hues and thicknesses. The frames are produced from tablets made of alternating, solid-colour layers of transparent and opaque acetate. Each handmade slab is unique and created esclusively for Vanni.
