New Bushnell acquisition
This is the second acquisition for Bushnell in 2008. After it acquired shares in Simmons Outdoor Corporationfrom Meade Instruments, MidOcean Partners and Bushnell Outdoor Products have announced the final agreement to acquire Millett Industries. The transaction will be concluded over the next few days, but the terms of the agreement have not been made known. MidOcean Partners executive David Basto explained, “The inclusion of Millett Industries in the big family of Bushnell brands is a continuation of our project for expanding the company through strategic acquisitions. Among their clients and partners, Bushnell and Millett are universally known for quality and value.” Set up in 1980, Millett Industries began by producing a line of sights and scopes. It expanded its range to include optics and it now offers quality vision solutions for sport and tactical use and for law enforcement agencies. The Millett range includes hardware for vision and magnification, sights, infrared sights and scopes for hunting and tactical use.
